Wednesday - Sad Day

Was to a funeral Wed for the father of a school friend - so sad - his one and only grandson talked about his grandfather - Papa was much loved. Don't think we are ever ready to lose a loved one no matter how old they are.
It pretty much finished me for the day but had to go to work following the funeral - thank goodness work was not crazy busy.....for a change!
Going to spend this one day off creating and getting cards ready for the upcoming mingles. Yes am working another weekend!

More Martha Stewart Children's cards

Really had a productive day yesterday making children's cards - have decided I will give bundles of these to the LCs (with small children) as Christmas gifts.

Picked some MS cardstock pads (12x12) at Michaels yesterday and made these cards - love how they practically made themselves.... cute children's cards.

These two cards arrived in yesterday and today's mail. Have to wait a whole month for more mingles - sigh! Sheila's card is called a criss cross card - Barb used the pumpkin harvest embossing folder for the background. Thanks ladies!

Same Tree 2 days later

Autumn is arriving quicker than expected - this is the same tree 3 days later! Thought you might like to see my clematis which grows next to our deck - here is the vine and some close ups.

Worked Another Weekend

Yes it was my third weekend in a row - someone needs to tell Mr Duckett, there is a staff shortage, never mind bed shortage!!!
Am supposed to send a criss cross mingle card this week for the ScorPalPals mingle. It took me three tries before I was happy.
