wedding over

For those of you that don't know - our son was married on July 30 to a wonderful girl! Our daughter and her hubby were here for the wedding so it has been a very special time........however it has come to an end......son and DIL are on honeymoon and daughter and SIL are safely back in Australia. Can't believe how quickly time went and that I am back to work. Will share some pics from wedding - they decided to hold wedding at Camp Kindle which is a local camp for kids with cancer - spectacular venue - great accomodations and money ended up going to a worthy cause.
So hopefully I will be back to creating now that the business is over!

Plans gone astray

Earlier in the year I decided to try to post everyday with a card - I so enjoy visiting Lynette's blog each day, as well as Simplicity.......but the best laid plans didn't take very long to fall apart - between helping with wedding things for future DIL and committing to teaching a card class this past weekend, the posts have been few and fair between.
Class went well and am hoping to teach more - note to self - take business cards next time!
Will add pics of some of the cards they created over the next few days but here is the first.

Monday

Today is election day here in Canada - because I am attending an all day workshop, my hubby and I went last week and cast our votes - thank goodness I don't have to worry about that - know I will be tired at end of day.
Have done some creating this past week but need to scan or photograph before I can share my latest cards with you. Still using the double embossing technique - funny how it has become my new favorite - need to do a flower card for the latest challenge - started work on it last night but it needs tweaking. Hopefully later this evening I might cards scanned - often a day away provides inspiration - at least I am hoping that will happen.
