Rec'd a wonderful stamp from friend in Texas - had to use it to create this card for my DH's birthday this past week.

Back to Work and Creating!

Things have really, really slowed down here - back to earth with a bit of a thump - so the return to work and a routine has been good - now to get back to creating.....had a challenge on Creativecuttlebuggers for an autumn/halloween based card and a square card mingle to do for the Sept mingle. Here is what I created.....
Daughter is picking up some embossing folders in Australia for me - can hardly wait until they arrive! (Like I need more embossing folders!!!!!!)

Life Returning to "Normal"

Well the wedding is now behind us - Ali and Ben are now back in Brisbane and we've had quite an exciting month. Today picked up Ben's sister to spend day with us and dropped her off at airport tonight for her flight to Glasgow.
Had a great brunch with nephew, his girl and her family yesterday at Nakoda Lodge - great food - amazing spot - too bad the weather did not cooperate - poured buckets most of day.
So back to work later in week - think I am ready for a routine of sorts - have done a bit of card making - will share in a bit.
A fellow crafter card maker lost her battle with cancer this past Saturday - she will be missed. Her passing puts everything in perspective - I am so fortunate to have such a wonderful life!!!!!!

Bridal Shower

Had a great time at the bridal shower Corinne and Krista had for Ali. Was lovely to see all of Ali's friends - they gave her an 8x8 scrapbook with each person supplying a page......a great keepsake.
Next a family dinner with the Powells and the Downeys - our house tomorrow afternoon. Stay tuned for pics.

Arrived Safe and Sound

Ali and Ben arrived last Monday and wedding plans are in full swing!!!! Lots of details - all we really need is a lovely day - not too hot with no rain - even if it holds off until after dinner - that would be great (?not too much to ask for?)
