great mail day

Well a great day - last of my spa appts (hair cut) and then home to discover not only did my pruchases arrive in the mail today but I also rec'd a wonderful card from Catherine L.. She and I are in CCE#1 card exchange group. Each member makes two cards each month - sends them off and receives two cards in return - all from different card makers. It is fun to see everyone's creative talents. So I am posting pictures on the card I rec'd (thanks Catherine) as well as one of the punch (from England)and stamps from a great store in Hawaii!

ebay winnings

Just home from work - one more shift tomorrow and I'm off until Friday - yeah! Just had to share my good fortune - there is ebay seller here in Calgary - won something about 18 months ago - emailed her before bidding about maybe being able to pick up from her house instead of her mailing - less hassle for her and saves postage for me - she is quite agreeable and was open to the suggestion - enough said! - can afford to bid more when I know I don't have to pay shipping - well today I got the Mickey Celebrates embossing folders (2 A2 size) and the Red Tag Alphabet - total cost $18.13 - almost felt like that lady in the Ikea commercial - Start the Car! Start the Car! So needless to say I am pleased - didn't think I wanted a second alphabet but the letters are much different than Olivia and there are big and little sizes of each letter - - the Mickey Celebrates I intend to use for kids cards - have work colleagues who are always asking me to make kids cards - cheaper to buy mine than have to go shopping for cards.

working the weekend

Received some more images (Image Queen of the Week - yahoo stamping group) from Kristie - thanks Kristie - will work with them on days off this coming week. Have two more days of work then I can play and make some cards.

busy week

Worked four days this week at hospital so am tired! Got this card from Fran in BC - she is having trouble finding an embossing folder so was able to make and send her some samples. She, in turn, sent me this lovely thank you card.
Had quite a successful week with ebay wins - and finds at Michaels - got two totes, one for stepsister Sandy and the other for me, a cropadile and the cutest rabbit stamp. (ebay wins)
The sign up deadline for our next cuttlebug mingle (one card swap) is tomorrow so am organizing that today. It is really wonderful to think 20 or more cards will go into the mail on June 20 and members from 4 countries and two continents will be sending cards to each other. Will post some card pictures when mingle complete.

Am involved with some cuttlebug monthly mingles which means we make & send one card - and of course we receive one card. Here are the two I rec'd this month. The golf card is from Kathy and the horse card is from Alanna. Theme for the mingles was card for adult male (?Father's Day - perhaps for those that still have dads) Thanks ladies - you are both so talented.

Cat from the US was good enough to send me some images - have a look at the cats - how great are they? Still haven't broken out the pencil crayons and mica paints to start decorating some of these images - must get to that tomorrow.
