Home Sweet Home

After spending three + weeks in Australia with Gordon, came home only to return to airport and fly to Dominican Rep for nephew's wedding - so glad I went but so glad to be home - just had to share the latest greatest pic of our Australian grandson with his mom and dad.

Hello from down under

Have been here almost three weeks to visit new grandson Gordon - he is a doll and such a good baby - Will be very hard to leave on Friday

Walking

Arthur has been walking for the last 10 days or so - her prefers to walk at his grandma and grandpa's house - carpet is so much softer for landing!!!! We are all waiting for his cousin to arrive - Ali still great with child - stay tuned for updates!

New Wheels!

Michelle found this car at a garage sale - it was pink and white - look what she has done to it - and look how pleased Arthur is with his "new" wheels!!!!!

Mother's Day

Had the best day yesterday - Andy, Michelle and Arthur came for the day - we ordered take out and had the best dinner - then today these flowers arrived from Ali and Ben - how lucky am I? So excited for Grandbaby #2 late Sept!!!!!

His & Hers Class cards

Am taking online class called His & Hers - yesterday's class really inspired me to create so I got busy today - here is what I made - one for him and one for her. Both are covered in velum - his card is all velum components whereas hers is velum with white layer over with velum strips - flowers - yup - love them!

Happy Birthday Sandy ! Hope you had a special day!~ Was up to make Sandy a card this morning and it was one of those mornings - everything I tried DID NOT WORK - ever have one of those days when you wonder why you got out of bed - it took me over an hour to make this one simple card - if I hadn't needed it for today I would have given up - sometimes it is better to walk away and come back later to try again.

Busy reorganizing

Have had my nestabilities (cutting dies for those who are not paper crafters) stored on two bulletin boards which I lined with magnetic sheets - they hung right above my working spaces but unfortunately, they used to "fall" behind one of my work spaces ( a recycled dresser) which weighs a ton and is difficult to move.
 Yesterday I decided to go to local hardware store and found two pieces of pegboard in the scrap section - bought five packages of "hooks" -  total cost was less than $25- so my nesties storage area went from looking like the first pic to the second pic - thinking this might be time to decide what I want to keep and what I can part with. Have decided to keep the second bulletin board lined with magnetic sheets for those dies which can't be stored on the pegboard hooks. So second peg board will go to live at Sandy's house so she too has a place to store her nesties.

March 5

Yesterday was pretty much a bust for me - was up at 4 to take friend to airport - was so tired had to have afternoon nap - but did sleep last night and feel much better for it - Here is the card I promised yesterday - have had some spellbinders metal sheets hanging around - figured it was about time to use at least one sheet!
Started by stamping background ,used white embossing powder - heat set die cut branch (white which is hard to see) and then die cut flowers from metal.

The colour purple

The mingle for creativecuttlebuggers is a card for a woman (female) with predominant color of purple.Have made four so far - just have to chose one. Stay tuned for another purple card tomorrow!

A Birthday card for friend's hubby

Brent has a thing for owls so this is the card I made for his birthday yesterday. Paper comes from a pad my DIL picked up at HomeSense  - isn't it great ??????

Here are three pics each taken on the 19th of Nov, Dec & Jan. There will another to add next Tues so you can see he continues to grow by leaps and bounds. Speaking of which - he is his father's son - loves his jolly jumper so much so we need to find one for our house!

Arthur again

Yes our grandson will be three months old this Saturday - I used to think time went by faster once my children were born but now that we have a grandson, it is like time passes as supersonic speed!!!!!
He  has started to verbalize these last 10 days or so - funny I don't remember either of mine "talking" this early. He is pretty much sleeping through the night now but of course that has reduced eating time somewhat, so he is making up for the time shortage! We sure love him!
