Stuck on Valentines Day cards

Eveything I seem to make these days in Valentine's Day related.

MoJo Back

Have just finished creating some cards out of scrap card stock.

Back in Card Making Mode

Had run out of ideas and was in a real slump but think the creativity is coming back with the help of some friends and some blogs.

Weekend of no work!

Don't have to work this weekend so am gonna get busy and start making cards!

Goodbye Old Friend - Elmo - Jan 13, 2009

My son came to own a badly abused border collie "Elmo" about five years ago and we have come to love her very much.
All we knew is she had not been fed so she killed gophers to survive and had to live in dog shelter with no heat even in the dead of winter. It took a lot convincing to get her to come into the house but since then she has become my son's faithful companion. This past Tuesday after spending a weekend watching her - it was obvious she was not well, he took her to the Vets to find out she had congestive heart failure. We will miss her!

This last week there was a layout challenge on CCC - it was a tough one and this isn't my greatest card by any stretch but it is done.

New Cards

With Valentine's Day just around the corner and two mingles due in about two weeks, I figured I had better get cracking - so spent some time in my craft room creating.

There is a wonderful resource called Stamper's Quest Magazine - free to sign up - they send you postings about different techniques. One by Melanie Smith really caught my eye so thought I should give it a try. So far have made three cards and each is better than the last.
