ATCs for tuture swaps

As mentioned in my previous post, I am participating in an ATC swap. These are the cards I have made for upcoming swaps - titled Reflections, Leaves, Halloween and Trees.

Artist Trading Cards

One of the groups I belong to swap ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) and the theme this month was sunsets - yes I signed up - and have just received them in the mail. Thought I would share these wonderful creations with you.

The mail didn't get delivered until just after 4 yesterday - and yes the box of stamps were there waiting. So late afternoon and early evening I mounted my stamps (EZ mount) and tried each one out. Only you stampers will appreciate this - but each one is wonderful....each image brought big smiles and some laughter - it doesn't get much better than that! I have not one regret - oh I take that back - should have bought the seagulls, it is a tiny stamp but as usual, makes a big difference when creating a scene. Hopefully can stop at Rose's stuff in Didsbury on way to Drayton Valley next Friday and hopefully they will have one for me to buy. Stay tuned ....the best is yet to come!
On a final note, it is snowing here - yet again - started just after 1 pm and it isn't supposed to stop until sometime tomorrow - so out come the winter coats and boots - supposed to stay cold until next Wednesday. Spring? what's that?

Waiting Patiently?

Have ordered some stamps from stampscapes (US based) and am just waiting for them to arrive - then I am going to start trying my hand at creating the scene cards. Since attending that class at the retreat, I am very interested in trying different colors. My son's partner fell in love with the orange sunset card - says her Dad has a favorite cabin and always comments about it as they drive to their cabin. Will try to make some more cards with different colors so she has a choice for his birthday card. Also have been fortunate enough to get some wonderful tree stamps on ebay so will have lots to choose from once they all arrive.
Have always loved flowers and now it appears that that love has broadened to include other things in nature.

New Stamps from Rose's Stuff (Didsbury)

After having a wonderful weekend - learning more about creating landscapes and sunset scenes with stampscape stamps, I drove to Didsbury to Rose's Stuff to see what they had. Guess a better way to put it, what they didn't have - great selection of stampscape stamps but not the one I was looking for. These are the stamps I got.
The tree caught my eye immediately, it was the first I picked up - I am so glad - I love it. It might even become a favorite!
