My One Picture from the Weekend

You have to understand I live on the prairies and winter came early this year so for me to see this site in Langley - had to take a picture as leaves fell a long time ago here. Not sure what I was thinking - should have taken several more as the leaves were wonderful - oak, maple and Japanese maple - oh the colors!

Fabulous Four Day Weekend

Just home from a four day weekend in New Westminster/Langley British Columbia. Have good friend who emailed me info re the BC Craft Expo which was held this past Thur, Fri and Sat. Dorothy was good enough to pick me up at airport, take me shopping to two of the most wonderful places (Photo Express in Maple Ridge and Be Creative in Pitt Meadows). We stayed at her amazing house Thur night, then got up, had breakfast, made bag lunches and took off to Langley. The classes(three each day) were jam packed - learned tons of stuff and came home with some wonderful tools thanks to Lisa S.
Met a fellow card maker who I have been exchanging cards with for some time - we were sitting on opposite sides of the table - wonderful to be able to give you a hug Madge!
How lucky am I? Good friends sometimes appear out of nowhere - I do have a wonderful life!
Stay tuned - will try to share what we did in the classes - it was truly an unforgettable experience!

Hot Tub Yesterday

Wish I had a picture to show you - sitting in hot tub on son's deck with touques on our heads watching TV - it was so cold out the Coke froze in his glass.......very untraditional Thanksgiving but oh so fun!
Today I tried a new technique for card fronts - thought I would share - just love how they turned out!

Am looking forward to Thanksgiving this year - we are having dinner with our son and his SO - have one more day of work then off for almost a week.....yeh!!!!!

More MS Cardstock Pads

Dropped into Michaels on the way home from work late yesterday afternoon (coupon in hand of course!!!) and found these cardstock pads on clearance - 40 sheets of cardstock, stickers, etc. Guess I will be making baby cards today!

Wednesday - Sad Day

Was to a funeral Wed for the father of a school friend - so sad - his one and only grandson talked about his grandfather - Papa was much loved. Don't think we are ever ready to lose a loved one no matter how old they are.
It pretty much finished me for the day but had to go to work following the funeral - thank goodness work was not crazy busy.....for a change!
Going to spend this one day off creating and getting cards ready for the upcoming mingles. Yes am working another weekend!
